Get ready for the future of LinkedIn: 5 new features coming in 2023

LinkedIn is rolling out 5 new features in 2023 that will improve accessibility, analytics and usability for users and business admins alike. From improved video captioning and post scheduling, to updates for job search and content analytics, LinkedIn is setting the stage for a major transformation of its platform. In this blog post, we’ll explore each new feature in detail so you can be prepared when they roll out.

1 Creator Analytics

LinkedIn grasps how essential it is to have immediate access to data that will grow your audience and measure the success of published content. To make this a reality, they are improving their creator analytics dashboard with up-to-date audience insights and the highest performing posts. With the introduction of creator mode, you can now analyse your audience's demographics and observe changes in followers. This tool comes with a data exporting feature that gives you better control over the analytics process to suit your needs. (You must be in Creator Mode to access.)

2 Video captioning and accessibility features

To make video content more accessible, LinkedIn has implemented automatic caption generation for videos uploaded to the platform (only available in English). You can customise these captions before posting the video. Additionally, you can activate high contrast mode on the LinkedIn app to give visually impaired users and those with low vision a better viewing experience.

3 Job search ... but casually

The process of searching for a new job has changed dramatically in recent years. Even those without the intention to change jobs are intrigued by investigating possible avenues and options that may be available. According to LinkedIn, people are now more than ever considering job opportunities that align with their values and desires - such as learning new skills, developing professionally, and harmonising the balance between life and work. To make it easier for those looking for job opportunities, LinkedIn is experimenting with custom collections of jobs that can be easily accessed without any need to formally undertake a "search".

4 Content Scheduling

LinkedIn recently modernised the way brands and professionals can market by giving them the capability to pre-schedule posts for maximum reach and efficiency. Simply locate the “schedule” icon next to the “Post” button when creating a post and click it. Then, pick out which day and hour you wish for your content to be shared - it's that easy. With complete authority over your content, you can refine and modify as often as needed.

5 Product Pages

LinkedIn's Product Pages make finding relevant products and connecting with skilled professionals simpler than ever. With nearly 90,000 B2B products available on the search engine, getting what you need is only a few clicks away. To provide a more tailored experience, LinkedIn intends to add cutting-edge category filters and enhance the Product Pages ' relevance.

When it comes to buying decisions, professionals must jump through numerous hoops to gain the needed data - from researching goods and substitutes, collecting customer feedback and connecting with sales personnel. It is a time-consuming process that often has many layers of complexity. Product Pages are designed to provide professionals with the information they need in order to make intelligent, well-informed decisions when making purchases.
